Laser Tag FAQ’S

Does Laser Tag Hurt?

Laser tag weapons, or taggers as they are called do not actually emit a laser as the name implies, but rather an infrared beam of light similar to that of a television remote, it is harmless and does not hurt at all.

What Should I Wear To Play?

Gameplay conditions can change depending if the games are hosted indoors or outdoors. Either way, it is advisable to dress appropriately for the season, in warm weather outside, head protection such as a hat is required, sunscreen and plenty of hydration are also recommended. In cooler weather, layers are preferred so that they can be added or removed as conditions and personal preference dictates. Proper footwear is also an important factor to help reduce the possibilities of foot related injuries; due to this, open toed shoes are forbidden in the gameplay area.

What Equipment Do You Use?

As a player you will be assigned two primary pieces of equipment, a tagger, and a hit sensor. Due to player size ranges we understand that vests can pose a problem to some players and in an effort to offer the best service we can, Battle Zone utilizes headbands as hit sensors as opposed to vests. During gameplay, you will be responsible for the equipment assigned to you so take care of it.

What Sanitary Measures Do You Take In Preparation For Players?

All of our equipment is sanitized between players, taggers are wiped down with sanitizing clothes, and headband liners are removed, sanitized, and replaced with ones that have already been sanitized.

Can I Wear Head Coverings In Addition To The Headbands?

Absolutely, we understand that some people have concerns about shared equipment and even though we make every effort to ensure the equipment is sanitized, we do encourage that all players bring some form of head coverings such as a ball cap to wear during gameplay.

What Age Range Can Play?

We will try to accommodate everyone we can within reason. The taggers we user are 28.5 inches in overall length. We recommend players be at least 8 years of age or older and can safely handle a tagger of that size.
